Creative Regions’ work is centred on making arts experiences that are relevant to regional communities. To do this, we work with government agencies, industry bodies, companies and the not for profit sectors to understand the big ideas and issues affecting communities then to design arts-led responses to those issues.
Creative Regions has developed a range of major arts and cultural projects that are designed to engage communities, build a pride in place and activate communities and/or places. Festivals and major community arts events are great tools for achieving all of these objectives.
Creative Regions works with Bundaberg Regional Council to activate, reimagine and reinvigorate damaged or under-utilised places. Our Place Activation program is an arts and community-led approach to designing vibrant, liveable spaces that ignite a sense of community pride and belonging.
Creative Regions celebrates stories in all their forms. The Regional Stories Lab is a program dedicated to digital media and narrative skills development, and the celebration of personal narratives in rural and regional Queensland.
The team at Creative Regions can help you with your career or project idea. We offer one-on-one consultations by phone, email or face to face. The first half hour of advice is complimentary (valued at over $120). Any further Culture Clinic time is $90/ hour.
