What people have to say

The old saying’ 2 heads are better than 1’ is a fact when it comes to the volume of knowledge and skills the team at Creative Regions possess. Creative Regions has been an integral part of the success of regional arts programs and cultural events since 2008. Events such as CRUSH - celebrating the diversity in arts, AFLOAT - a reflection and creative initiative after the floods of 2011 and 2013 as well as other community projects involving local providers, performers/artists etc have raised awareness of the economic benefit such involvement and experiences can bring.

Since 2008 Creative Regions has and continue to bring professionalism to the table in not only delivering unique artistic programs but enhancing the community engagement model, bringing about a deeper understanding of how arts and cultural opportunities benefit the health and wellbeing of our residents. It has social inclusion embedded in all that they do and are indeed leaders in their field when it comes to individuals, groups, funding organisations and different levels of government discussions.

Best practice is how I would describe the objectives and goals of Creative Regions and I certainly value their dedication and innovation when working together for the Bundaberg Region.

COUNCILLOR JUDY PETERS, Bundaberg Regional Council

Bundaberg North Burnett Tourism has delighted in a long association with the Creative Regions team through the annual Crush Festival.

The Crush Festival is seen by BNBT as a very important destination event, marketing the development, expansion and profiling of the arts in the Bundaberg region.

The Creative Regions team possess a strong mix of flair and imaginative thinking with an abundance of energy and new ideas to ensure they deliver an incredible variety of artistic concepts for our region. We’re pleased to be involved with such a vibrant, community organisation.

KATHERINE REID, General Manager, Bundaberg North Burnett Tourism

I had to go to my doctor after the art session the other day and told him about the Mandala art session. He gave me an actual prescription that cannot be filled at a chemist. It had – do regular Art Therapy.

I have my canvases ready in my craft room to do another one closer to time. Early September. I realised I had not done any craft since moving in here after the home invasion last October. The session at Take The Plunge stirred a dormant passion in my soul.

Anonymous MINDCRAFT Participant, May 2018

The experience over the last week was amazing. Being in a play about issues is heart-warming. I learnt many techniques in the field of drama. #ticketsfolks #showsabouttostart

Bailey, performer, Elephant in the Room

Well now what can I say about the Grey Nomads VS The World? Congratulations to Di Wills for producing such a wonderful show & to the people who participated in it. It was a laugh a minute & it was great to hear the positive comments from everyone around me, wow, well done, how clever etc.

Norma Buchanan, Audience Member

I loved how a lot of people were uncomfortable… I noticed a lot of shifting in their seats. Not an experience they will forget in a hurry! And that’s exactly what’s needed.
