“Tell Me A Story” enables and encourages past and present residents of the historical town of Childers to share a story ‘real or imagined’ about one of ten heritage listed buildings that can be found in their Leopard Tree lined main street. A Pop-Up History Day was held in the CBD on March 22nd where residents had the opportunity to complete a card on the spot, or take a couple home and fill them out later over a cuppa.
PostCards continue to be available to residents from the Childers Library, Childers Art Space and the Old Museum until the 8th April. Completed cards are to be returned to the Childers Library.
Collected stories have the potential to inform a Digital StoryWalk in Childers in the future.
