Project Description

Funded through the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) Program in Bundaberg, Take it to the Streets was a street side dining initiative designed to inject life into the outdoor spaces of four food retailing businesses in North Bundaberg.

A creative team including Architect Tomas O’Malley and Artists Christine Turner, Jennifer McDuff and Marlies Oakley – along with trade support from Norm Quarrell – worked with these businesses to design and install temporary outdoor dining spaces over a 3-month period to test the ways in which this made a difference to people interacting with the CBD of North Bundaberg.  These spaces were publicly accessible between February and April 2015.

The Take it to the Streets Project has been supported by The Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF). RADF is a Queensland Government through Arts Queensland and Bundaberg Regional Council partnership to support local arts and culture.
