Country women for generations have gathered in the kitchen to share a cuppa with family and friends. Mumma’s Kitchen is a radio series that celebrates this tradition. It also explores what life is really like for women and girls in regional Australia. Is it all that different to life in the city? Is the gap between country and city growing wider? In this eight-episode radio series Trudie Leigo pops into the homes of different women in the Queensland town of Bundaberg to find out about their lives and the issues they face.
So pop the kettle on, put your feet up and join Trudie as she has a cuppa with 16 extraordinary women.
