Following on from work undertaken by Shelley Pisani in 2009, where a museums needs analysis was undertaken, Rod Ainsworth has established a joint meeting of museums and galleries in the North Burnett Region, to be held on Saturday, 17 July in Mundubbera. M&GSQ will be in attendance to talk about their services and to speak generally about other networks. The issue of museums as a cultural tourism opportunity has been listed in the North Burnett Region’s Economic Development Plan.
