Gympie Region
Creative Generators 2010
An initial visit was been made to the Gympie Region in April. The following are outcomes of the meetings and Culture Clinic sessions held during that visit and phone/email clinic support during this report period:
- Discussion about the Commedia dell’arte Festival
- Project development in Imbil
- Discussion of an audience development project for the Gympie Civic Centre
- Discussion of a possible workshop co-delivery partnership with the Burnett Inland Economic Development Organisation
- Discussion about arts advocacy
- Development of RADF Committee training
Rod Ainsworth has been in discussion with the manager of the Woodworkers Museum regarding facilitating a discussion around museum collaborative activities in Gympie. There are three museums that this would affect. Rod has had discussions with M&GSQ about being involved in these discussions on 16 July.
An arts trail has been mooted in Imbil, with connections to the Sunshine Coast Region. This may become a strategic project for inclusion in Creative Regions’ work.
