Our key role is to develop and support the local film industry, attract production to Queensland, and celebrate an active screen culture across the State.

Arts for Disability and the Disadvantaged

Access Arts Queensland is the peak body working with artists, cultural workers and their communities across Queensland. We deliver a range of Professional Arts and Cultural services to Queensland communities with an emphasis on those communities, groups and individuals who experience disability and disadvantage.

Creative Generators

The following are organisations funded through Arts Queensland and the Australia Council for the Arts in 2009 and 2010 to trial different models of regional arts service delivery in Queensland.  The program is known as Creative Generators.  Creative Regions is one of these organisations.  These are our fellow service providers.

Dance

Ausdance Queensland is the dance service organisation funded by Arts Queensland to support dance throughout the State. This means help can be on its way from Thursday Island to Charleville or Mt Isa to Moura.

Film, Photography, Television and Digital Media

Feral Arts is a cultural development company working in digital media. We work with communities and other partners to make better use of their cultural assets - stories, histories, networks - enhancing their creativity and sustainability.

QPIX is Queensland's screen development centre.

The Queensland Government's Screen Queensland facilitates and celebrates quality film and television production in Queensland.

Screen Australia is the Commonwealth Government screen agency providing support to Australian film, television, documentary and digital media makers.

General Arts

Human Ventures (Human) works with diverse communities, and socially-responsible organisations to create innovative programs, products and services that address problems such as poverty, social exclusion, and sustainability.  We achieve this through arts, community engagement, design and entrepreneurial practices.

Contact Inc is a cultural development organisation, working with young people from diverse cultures and communities. Contact Inc is driven by artistic processes and practices based on social justice and peace-building principles. Our processes create safe spaces for young people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, Pacific Islander backgrounds and emerging communities, to collaborate, build cross-cultural understanding and create art with a social change agenda. Our work is focused on capacity building strategies that mobilise young people and artists to be active citizens and change agents within their communities.

Interpretation Australia Association is a national membership-based organisation dedicated to the advancement of the profession of heritage interpretation.

Music

Q Music is Queensland's music industry development association. Promoting the artistic value, cultural worth and commercial potential of Queensland music.

Queensland Arts Council is a not-for-profit organisation that ensures all Queenslanders have access to high quality arts regardless of their geographical location. We present, produce, program, tour, fund and facilitate the arts right across Queensland. 

Queensland Arts Council tours mainstage and school productions, plus multimedia art exhibitions. We also support regional communities to develop their own arts events through funding, training, advice and resources.

Queensland Touring Services has a commitment to provide regional and remote Queensland communities with performances, residencies and workshops of the highest quality, suited to audiences and participants of all ages, tastes and interests.

Visual Arts, Craft and Design

artisan is the peak body in Queensland presenting and promoting unique and individual quality crafted design to an Australian and international audience.

Artworkers Alliance exists to support the people working in the visual art, craft and design industries in Queensland and Australia.

Flying Arts Inc offers access to the widest possible range of professional arts and cultural services to help to alleviate the impacts of regional isolation and to inspire imagination, creative expression and community development.

NAVA (National Association for Visual Arts) is the peak body representing and advancing the professional interests of the Australian visual arts and craft sector. NAVA undertakes advocacy and lobbying, research, policy and project development, data collection and analysis. It also provides expert advice, resources, professional representation and development and a range of other services.

Writing

Playlab is a not-for-profit script development and playwright development agency, funded by the Queensland State Government, through Arts Queensland. Playlab Press is a part of Playlab Inc and is Australia's second largest publisher of theatre and new work for performance.

The Queensland Writers Centre encourages networking, connection, and creativity through the art and business of writing. We provide knowledge, networks, skills and professional development opportunities to QWC members and Queensland writers, and work to service diverse audiences, including regional and indigenous writers.

Youth Arts

Youth Arts Queensland (YAQ) is Queensland’s peak body for children and young people in the arts. Established in 1989, we are a not-for-profit, membership based organisation that leads, celebrates, strengthens and responds to youth arts and cultural development in Queensland and beyond.

Our organisation plays a critical leadership role in the youth arts sector by advocating for and on behalf of people who engage children and young people in the arts. It is our responsibility to oversee the implementation of Horizons: The Children and Young People in the Arts Sector Vision 2009 – 2013 and profile the achievements of youth arts practitioners to local, state and national arts, government and community sectors.

Young People and the Arts Australia is the national peak body for arts organisations and practitioners who engage children and young people in the Arts. YPAA broadly represents, adventurously activates and sustainably develops professional arts and cultural practice with children and young people through high quality nationwide services to practitioners and organisations.
